Are you looking for a children’s dentist in Memphis, TN?
As parents, we take our children to pediatricians because they are children specialists. Their extra special training allows them to limit their practice to meet the very special needs of our children. A pediatric dentist is the equivalent to your pediatrician in dentistry. A pediatric dentist has years of extra training even after they have become a general dentist. Come see what a great experience children’s dentistry should be by scheduling your child’s first dental appointment with Dr. B!
“We are going to see Dr. B today!” childrens dentist Memphis Tn
The first visit to the dentist can be the most important in your child’s life. Say something like, “Dr. B will show you lots of new and fun things to make your teeth sparkle and help you have a pretty smile.” If your children ask searching questions, explain that Dr. B and his staff will tell them what he’s going to do,show them how he’ll do it, and then will actually do it. Be sure to tell them if they have any questions to ask Dr. B and staff. The earlier the dental visit, the better the chance of preventing dental disease.

Dr. B suggests that parents bring their children to the dentist regularly, beginning with an infant oral health exam. Dr. B can recommend a specific program of brushing, flossing, and other treatments. These home treatments, when added to regular dental visits and a balanced diet, will help give your child a lifetime of healthy habits.
What really goes on in the operatory
Once in the operatory, Dr. B will review your child’s medical and dental history. The health history includes an assessment of your child’s diet and nutrition, fluoride adequacy, oral habits, past injuries or trauma, oral development and oral hygiene. Dr. B will gently examine your child’s teeth, oral tissues, and jaws. He will provide preventive information or recommendations to you regarding your child’s diet, nutrition, fluoride and oral habits. If your child has a sufficient number of teeth erupted, Dr. B will recommend a subsequent appointment for a cleaning and topical fluoride treatment.
